Tempo was being held back as a possible show puppy from this litter. Although we feel Tempo is of excellent "Show Quality" and the judges seem to agree, we have decided to move forward with a brother of his instead. Therefore, Tempo is now being offered for up for placement. Tempo is a sweet, silly, exuberant guy. He is a curious very fun puppy with moderate energy, with bursts of speed at times. He loves to snuggle and tends to try and hoard all the affection for himself by jumping in your lap first. His favorite pastimes are playing with his toys and chasing his other Kooiker siblings around. Tempo also likes to showcase his leaping ability by jumping several feet in the air. He is extremely intelligent and learns new commands really quick. Tempo would make a great agility prospect but this is not required. However, we are looking for a relatively active family for Tempo. Tempo is crate trained and is housebroken. He is "puppy manners" Trained and has mastered all of the core Obedience Commands such as sit, down, here, etc. If you think Tempo might be a good fit for your lifestyle please reach out. TEMPO UPDATE: Since wriing the information below about Tempo. Certain changes have come into play. Tempo has really blossumed and after consideration, we decided to decline the home that wanted him as just a companion only, and continue his show career with us (at least for awhile). He has won many points in the show ring (including both reqiuired majors) and is easily on track for becoming a very young AKC show Champion ( like his brother who finished at 8 months).
Tempo loves people, loves to show and just loves life. The judges have just RAVED about how nice of a puppy he is in temperament, structure, movement and overall "Kooikerhondje" breed type. So.. our current plan is to finish his AKC Championship, which we anticipate accomplishing this fall. After that we would like to find him a home that would do dog sports in some form. He is beyond enthusiastic, exhuberant, confident, intelligent, sweet-natured, with a zest for life. He is really a special boy and we will be looking for that unique home. Due to his "over the top" exuberance, Tempo would EXCEL at almost anything, We would be looking for probable placement November/December 2025. On a side note: We would consider a show (home) with performance, if that person wants to work through our "steps" to approval. Show families are very selectively chosen and are a very rare occurance! Every time one of our Ambermoon Kooikers "Steps" in the ring, they are showcasing our many generations of Ambermoon Lineage, and we take that very seriously and are looking for a prospective home that feels the same way. Before placement, Tempo will have his AKC Championship and his Canine Good Citizen, and possibly some other titles.Tempo's price will be $5800. He will be sold on a co-ownership if left intact for show or if a performance home only (as a non show competitor) he will be sold outright with an "intent to neuter" contract. Tatum is a very, very, sweet, loving, affectionate, happy boy with a never-ending wagging tail. Tatum loves to snuggle and will spend all day curled up in your lap if you let him. He is a very handsome Kooikerhondje with wonderful, correct Kooikerhondje breed type. Tatum has won numerous awards in the AKC Conformation Ring. Tatum earned his AKC Breed Championship at a very young age, and in limited showing went on to becoming an AKC Grand Champion in 2025. Tatum easily has accomplished several other titles. The AKC Canine Good Citizen Advanced titles; CGCA Canine Community and CGCU Canine Good Citizen Urban with perfect scores. Without much effort, he earned the AKC Home Manners Title VHMA , Lure Coursing Fast BCAT and the relatively new AKC Athletic title, Fit Dog Bronze FITB. Tatum is very responsive to commands and is totally 100 percent “off leash” reliable and trained. Tatum enjoys long walks and frolicking in open fields and streams. Tatum is of moderate energy and does not need constant exercise to keep him happy and healthy. Tatum gets along with other dogs of any age. While Tatum prefers his own people, Tatum easily accepts the “pets” from anyone offering. Tatum would be that perfect fit for that family that wants a gorgeous, well trained and intensely socialized dog. Possibly a family that is interested in a future service dog. A family that wants a dog for both an “off leash” or on leash hiking partner. Tatum is a love of a dog and due to his wonderful, levelheaded, temperament should be placed in a home that will give him a full engaging loving life. We are not interested in family that has no sense of adventure. We want a home that will have him particiate as a true family member and accompany them in life.
